As part of the 2018 amendments to the General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) (Scotland) Regulations, there is a requirement for all Optometrists and OMPs, working under GOS in Scotland, to undertake annual mandatory training. For 2018/19 this takes the form of a First Port of Call (FPOC) Reflective Account of Practice, and the submission deadline is 31st December 2019.
It is important to note, that without completing their annual mandatory training requirement, Optometrists will NOT RECEIVE PAYMENT FOR THEIR DELIVERY OF GOS SERVICES.
If you have delivered GOS services within October 2018 until December 2019 you are required to complete the training.
