Scotland’s only ophthalmic dispensing course returns to Glasgow

We’re delighted to see the return of an Ophthalmic Dispensing Management degree to Glasgow Caledonian University in September 2020 – and we need your help to spread the word!

Its return is fantastic news for our industry and we want to play our part in ensuring its success by encouraging lots of applicants. If the minimum requirement of candidates is not met, the course will not go ahead.

As Optometry Scotland members and champions of the industry, we would like your help in spreading the word of the degree’s return by highlighting it to any friends or colleagues who may be interested in applying.

The programme has been structured to deliver face-to-face teaching in a “compact” way that enables students to work in the optical industry during term time as well as during the non-teaching period.  Although not a formal part of the programme, this allows students to be in paid employment parallel to their studies.
