Tell OS

Important message from your OS Team

As we near the end of the first month of living with the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, we are now beginning to assess our new environment, ways of working and how this impacts the day-to-day workings of Community Eyecare in Scotland.  We can also reflect on how we have adapted to serving our patients and customers remotely, using all manner of technological means and ingenuity in tackling emergencies and the essential needs of vulnerable persons and key workers.

There is no doubt that we are meeting the Scottish Government objective;

“community eye care will continue to support other primary and secondary care colleagues by managing persons requiring emergency and essential eyecare”

What is now important is that we are able to quantify how many of these emergency and essential eyecare episodes have taken place.

Please go to Tell OS and advise us of the numbers of patients we’ve managed to help and serve.  If you’re a member of the public and have some feedback for us, please go to Tell OS and let us know.

The past few weeks of community activity have shown how capable we’ve become in coming together and adapting to rapid and unexpected change.  It’s a great story and one that Community Eyecare should continue to be proud of.
