OS welcomes Scottish Government’s dedicated eye health website
The Scottish Government has launched a new website which offers advice on various eye conditions and the available support for those living with visual impairments. It also contains resources for professionals in the industry.
Eyes.Scot is an invaluable new resource which provides easy access to information about how best to look after your eyes and sight as well as advice and information for practices.
Optometry Scotland, which represents the industry, has welcomed the initiative. Chair, David Quigley, said: “We are delighted to see the Scottish Government implement this fantastic resource.
“The website offers comprehensive advice, not just for the general public, but also for professionals who can access everything from legislation to current COVID-19 protocols.
“Unless you notice a change with your vision or you are already a specs wearer, it can be easy to put off a visit to your local optometrist so we welcome the introduction of a website which helps to convey just how important regular eye examinations are. It is a great educational tool on all things eye health related.”
