As a result of these changes, the ‘Managing health and social care staff with symptoms of a respiratory infection or a positive COVID-19 test’ guidance (Annex B within the above link) has also been paused.

While testing is paused, staff who have symptoms of a respiratory infection should follow the NHS Inform advice. Further information on what staff should do as a result of these changes can be found in Annex B.

From the 30th of August the contractors will not be eligible or required to test, they are to follow the guidelines on NHS inform if they have symptoms of a respiratory infection.

Primary care contractors will have access to LFD test kits up to and including the 30th of August to order any LFDs via PECOS, after this date the facility will be turned off during the pause. To assist you with placing any orders you may require, attached is the pecos ordering guide relating to LFD kits.
